Sometimes referred to as “the most magical place on Earth”, Walt Disney World Resort is the world’s largest and most visited resort. Probably the most famous theme park within Disney World is Magic Kingdom, with Cinderella’s Castle being the focal point of the entire park. Formerly known as Disney-MGM Studios, Disney’s Hollywood Studios is all about show business. From Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular to Sounds Dangerous to The Great Movie Ride, the attractions here are all based on Hollywood, either by showing special effects, giving behind-the-scene looks, or simply based on a movie or television show. And every night you can catch Fantasmic in the open-air amphitheater, featuring Mickey Mouse and many other Disney characters in a story full of fireworks, lasers and water effects.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom is exactly what it sounds like: an animal park, which is centered around animal conservation. It is the largest single Disney park in the world. Animal Kingdom has several walk-through exhibits, an indoor theater, amphitheaters and a conservation exhibit. And it’s full of different animals. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is located in the park’s 33-acre wildlife reserve, and here you could even catch a glimpse of the giraffes or zebras from your room’s balcony!

With two water parks and several other attractions in addition to the parks, Walt Disney World Resort has something to offer everyone. If you ask your child what theme park they would like to visit they will likely answer overwhelmingly Disneyland.   Disneyland is the number one theme park in the world and is promoted to entertain the child in all of us.  It all started with a little mouse named MICKEY.

Walt Disney first conceived of his world renowned parks in the early 1950’s.  He started building his dream in Anaheim, California and now his vision stretches around the world with parks in Orlando, Florida, Paris, France and Hong Kong.  Each park adds to Disney’s vision of the Magic Kingdom while keeping to the basic premise of his dream to delight and entertain the hearts and minds of young and old alike.

With Disney’s acquisition of Pixar Animations Studios in May 2006 has only added to the Disney’s proven entertainment power.   Pixar produces family animation films in the same fashion that Walt Disney first envisioned, family films that not only entertain but allows the child to come out in all of us.   Keeping in the same approach as Disney’s  Snow White, Cinderella, Peter Pan and Pinocchio, Pixar Studios has produced Toy Story; It’s a Bugs Life, Monsters, Inc, Finding Nemo, Cars and The Incredibles. These film themes and characters are now featured attractions in all of Disneys parks. I would recommend a Disney vacation anytime of the year.  You do not necessarily need to stay at a Disney Resort Hotel to enjoy the experience.  Disney has partnered with major hotels usually within walking distance of the parks plus Disney offers free shuttle service to and from your Disney partnered hotel.  Also, keep an eye out for Disney sponsored Airline.  The sponsored Airline generally offers great deals to Disneyland and Disney World. Remember to always check for park hours during the winter and summer months and plan ahead to get the best value for your vacation dollars.  It really is a Magical Kingdom.
